Three Wishes of Cinderella
An enchanting retelling of the classic fairy tale, this family comedy entwines themes of love and friendship. A fan of the local superstar Prince Merliflore, Cinderella is dying to attend the ball, where he will be choosing a bride. Instead, she’s stuck at home performing house chores ordered by her wicked Stepmother. Elsewhere, Cinderella's friend Severin, a humble woodcutter, is turned into a chipmunk, after he stumbles upon Eternal Sherman, a magic tree full of wish-granting nuts. After seeing Cinderella come to Severin’s aid, Sherman gifts them the nuts. Even though Cinderella uses hers to complete the chores, her Stepmother just gives her more. Offering to help with the chores, Severin sends Cinderella off to the palace. At the ball, Cinderella and the Prince have a great night that ends in a marriage proposal. However, as luck would have it, it’s then that Cinderella is forced to flee the palace. Next morning, having arrived at Cinderella’s house to propose, the Prince only manages to recognize her, after Severin revives Cinderella’s ball gown with his magic nut. Disappointed, Cinderella rejects the Prince. He then abducts her to wed at the palace. Meanwhile, touched by Severin’s gesture, Eternal Sherman turns Severin back into a human and encourages him to confess his feelings for Cinderella. At the palace, Severin fights off the guards and finally confesses his love. Cinderella returns his feelings.
